Zowie! The added bonus is that this one of those wonderful 1973's where Ms Godcheaux had the night off, and therefore is not ruining any songs! (And it's the night before DP Vol. 1.)

One of the shows not picketed by the the ASPCA. Cats rested easy this night knowing that the Feline Inquisitor had the night off.

You know how hard it is to find cat-sized medieval torture racks? Give the lady props for dedication.

This is an extraordinary show, but the Eaton sourced Miller remaster might be better...

And Dick did pick the wrong Curtis Hixon show!

I honestly thought it was an AUD when I started listening and DL ing

It is listed as
Source: Reel master > cassette > DAT > CDR
Lineage: CDR (unknown gens) > EAC > SHN

I did not realize my mistake until digging further into the notes, after my ears noticed lack of audience noise.

I think in legal terms they call it a loop hole

i still think 12/19 is a better show, though i do question why dick decided to make it the first pick. oh, yeah, the here comes sunshine. the space segment before stella blue might be my favorite part of the whole show.

My statement was certainly of the blanket type... but with the moral high horses some folks ride around on in terms of downloading, I would expect these folks to not partake in any loop holes.

You could call a few of the other ways of downloading round here loop holes as well... but once someone makes mention of it out come the usual suspects ready to nail them to a cross for not sticking to the stream-only deal.

comparing illegally recording streams vs obtaining a legit download (due to its not being stream only here)

If I saw correctly the show is a SBD. These are not to be downloaded at all... correct?

Just because there was obviously some error, all of the sudden the no downloading SBD's rule is lifted?

And if you're going to call it a loop hole then what's wrong with exploiting any other loop hole?

Whatever... if y'all are against downloading SBDs from the archive then you're against downloading SBDs from the archive. That means whatever method, including errors made by the archive.

to be honest - i am not against recording streams of the sbds here - i am only against stating a "how-to" manifesto and posting it here as this could lead to the boards being pulled. if people know how to do it, and do it discreetly - i say go for it. may be a crappy attitude, but what can i say?

i download plenty of music i am probably "not supposed to." gotten some damn fine music in that manner, and i am sure many here would say that i am wrong. i do sleep pretty well at night though even with a full harddrive :)

i dont record streams though - usually crappy quality from what i hear. bit torrent is so much cleaner.

(now i have no idea exactly why i was writing all this - oops)

Mississippi in the middle of a dry spell
Jimmy Rogers on the Victrola up high
Mama's dancin' with baby on her shoulder
The sun is settin' like molasses in the sky
The boy could sing, knew how to move, everything
Always wanting more, he'd leave you longing for

Black velvet and that little boy's smile
Black velvet with that slow southern style
A new religion that'll bring ya to your knees
Black velvet if you please

Up in Memphis the music's like a heatwave
White lightening, bound to drive you wild
Mama's baby's in the heart of every school girl
"Love me tender" leaves 'em cryin' in the aisle
The way he moved, it was a sin, so sweet and true
Always wanting more, he'd leave you longing for

Black velvet and that little boy's smile
Black velvet with that slow southern style
A new religion that'll bring ya to your knees
Black velvet if you please

Every word of every song that he sang was for you
In a flash he was gone, it happened so soon, what could you do?

(Guitar Solo)

Black velvet and that little boy's smile
Black velvet with that slow southern style
A new religion that'll bring ya to your knees
Black velvet if you please

Black velvet and that little boy's smile
Black velvet with that slow southern style
A new religion that'll bring ya to your knees
Black velvet if you please

If you please, if you please, if you please

If you're going to be against ti, just be consistent. Some are not is all I'm saying.

That's SDH, Not SHH

Let me also add this: If the powers that be leave something up that maybe should not be, are we wrong to take advantage? As always, I discourage any open discussion of ways around set policy here. But if the gatekeepers leave a nugget on the floor from time to time, I'm gonna grab it.

The really funny thing is that we are probably the only 12 people who care or can even make the distinction. I always go to the downloadable link because I'm always looking for good AUDs. Who am I to argue if something that sounds real good is in the downloadable link?
